i'm not being rude but what gives you the authority to be dishing out fitness advice to others? genuinely curious.

Because I know everything, duh.

i know you should eat healthy all the time because like you just should..but will eating healthy and managing your portions of food/food intake in general lose weight? i am just so unmotivated to go to the gym which is awful but if i want to lose 5-10 lbs will changing my eating habits help me lose it or do i just have to work out?

you will only lose a good amount of weight if you combine working out with healthy eating. of course just eating healthy has it’s benefits, but there’s no point sitting around eating salad because it won’t help you long term. you need to get out, move around, run, jump, anything.

What do you suggest I do since I want to start working out but I have a very tiring school schedule and I barely get enough sleep? I had to fitness focused classes last school year but I managed to gain 20 pounds. I'm not the best runner and neighborhood isn't too safe to run in and I can't go to the gym what can I use as a replacement?

everybody has at least one hour to spare a day. you’re on the computer right now aren’t you? so you could be spending this time working out, might sound harsh but it’s true.

I'm a very light smoker, maybe 5-8 cigarettes a week, and most of my exercise consists of weights, stretching and yoga but do you think I could/should incorporate running into my routine, even though I smoke?

incorporate as much exercise as you possibly can. as an ex-smoker myself i can tell you that smoking is obviously bad, you know the facts. i think you should stop smoking all together because there’s no point being healthy on the outside if your insides are disgusting.

i've always wondered: i know they say not to eat past 7 or 8 pm, but i always thought that was because they assumed you would sleep soon afterwards and thus not be burning off any of the calories (as you mentioned). if i sleep at 4 or 5 am, however, does that mean it's okay to eat later? or is 7 or 8 pm simply the holy time to not eat past? thank you!!

not really, your body clock will be fucked and not sleeping at the right time can mess up your health (trust me, i know)

try sleeping earlier if possible and don’t eat too late.
